The Florida State Rural Development Council (FSRDC) was initiated in 1993. The Council is one of 36 councils nationwide which are designed to bring a clearer focus to rural development policy and programs and to promote collaborative intergovernmental partnerships with the private sector. The FSRDC organizational structure includes a 26-member executive committee comprised of representatives from the government, public, private, business and tribal sectors. With over 1000 individual and organizational members located in communities throughout the state, the FSRDC is Floridas largest and strongest public/private rural development partnership.
